Thought id add one thats means alot to me. When my nan passed away (who lived in London) my mum and her brothers and sisters really wanted to play a record that not only they enjoyed but somthing my nan liked aswell, after alot of thinking none of them could agree on one up until the day before the funeral. My brother Steven who lived in Suffolk and worked in London and often stayed at my nans overnight rather than driving home every weeknight and back in the morning wanted to say somethig in the church and the family agreed it would be nice (no one knew what he was going to say). So in the church, he got up and said.." A few months ago, whilst i was staying at nans, we were discussing what records we wanted played at our funerals, it wasn't in a morbid way, just a light hearted discussion, as we were talkin a record came on the radio and nan said "this is a lovely record I'd love this to be played at my funeral" so I thought i'd get a copy and put it on tape and play it for you all today......

This one brings a lump to my throat. It was used as an advert for Tennents Lager when I was doing missionary work in the benighted South (Liverpool). The ad had a guy working in London, just suddenly taking off his tie, chucking the briefcase in a skip & gettting the train to Scotland & going into his local for a beer.

At the time it killed me becasue it made me so homesick. The fact that the lyrics are great as well is a bonus......
