Thanks to Raketherake (who are sponsoring this) blonde will be doing the updates for the EPO ...
It starts on Tuesday ... BUT .. tomorrow at 7pm they are having a welcome party at the Crowne Plaza in Notts... Have a butchers at this selected quote from the press release!!
Ø welcome drink/ party in The Royal Suite of the Crowe Plaza 7pm (Main event players and press invited). There will (at least a few of the pro's attending would be fine to do interviews) be some interview opportunities here.
We will have lookalikes of Tony Blair and The Queen
, so good photo opportunities at welcome party.
Ø We have buffet, music, welcome drinks, beers and wines.
Ø We have a deceptionist who will be doing the rounds.
Ø At 7.30pm we will introduce the lookalikes of Tony Blair to kick the evening off, we then have a The Queen in full evening gown costume. The EPO team will all be there as will the DTD team should you have any questions for them
Ø Around 1.30am the party will end
I have got the updating gig, and had planned to get there on Tuesday to do the update ... but after reading the press release, I just have to get to that welcome party ... So I have wangled myself an invite, and paid for a hotel tomorrow out of my own pocket to make sure I get some pics of Queenie & Tone for your enjoyment
But thats not all .... I also spotted this bit
Tuesday 15th September
Ø 11am to 12 noon - We have organized for The Queen to do some shots of breakfast with Doyle Brunson and then with Phil Hellmuth. Press are welcome to take advantage of this photo opportunity, this will be in Crowne Plaza
Ø The Club opens at 11am this day for membership control.
Ø 11am to 1:30pm - We have a shuttle bus leaving the Plaza at 11am and doing round robins until 1.30pm (last pick up).
Ø 11am to 2pm - We are having a featured red carpet opening with pro's arriving in exec cars and we will also have English gents complete with bowler hats and umbrellas as well as
some gorgeous George Cross girls
to meet and greet.
Gonna be a tough gig to cover, but I will do my best

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

So we're down to 8 players, 6 seats and £1360 for 7th. Blinds are 2000/4000 I have 48k.
UTG pushes for 12800, am next to speak and I have AQos, BB is CL. I flat call hoping he will come along. He does, and we check it to the river where I spike my ace and guarantee myself £1360.
In fact, I have virtually guaranteed myself a seat, because the bloke to my left only has 5 bigs, when he moves in, everyone is calling.
Then, a bloke across the table, who is in decent shape pipes up, "Give me £20 each you can all have a seat and I'll take the money.
We whipped our £20s out pretty fast, but none faster than the guy with 5 bigs.

There doesn't seem to be any cheap seats left now though. Dousche offered someone £2100 + 10% of himself for a seat and got knocked back, and Raketherake are sold out
