Robert is vol 2 as good as the first. ?

I have to admit, I never really got to finish reading vol 1. couldn't bring myself to spend $40 on a book.

so would go to book store each day get a coffee and sit and read it, it was the last one they had, so when i left i would always put it in the wrong book rack so i could find it again next day.but alas some smart f@#$$% must have found it, and sold the thing. most upsetting. anyway should i just jump into vol 2 as i see they have that..Cheers

Dan Harrington Vol 1 & 2

Haven't read many but Im reading vol 1 atm and its really good, especially if youre like me and a) not that experienced and b) mainly interested in hold em.  I have Super System 2 also, but its a bit much I think for someone at my level and also it covers all the poker games.   Also its a bit too big to read on the loo Smiley

if you are after no limit hold'em tourney play then you HAVE to read Harrington Vol 1 and Vol 2 and Sklansky TPFAP.

the rest are way behind in teaching....

HOH2 is likely to be my next Blonde review, hopefully in the next few days.  The HOH1 review looks a bit lonely in isolation!

Without spoiling too much its fair to say both are worth reading!

If you aren't looking for NLHE tournament books then PM me for other recommendations.

Why not try a non-poker book.

Thewy gave me "A Brief History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson a Christmas or two ago. The most informing, funny & "wow-ish" book I've ever read in my life.

It stands re-reading an infinite number of times. You need to be utterly brain-dead not to learn so much from it, of how extraordinary the miracle of life is, & our planet, is. Utterly beguiling, utterly fascinating, utterly wonderful.

If I did not live alone, I'd bore my partner to death with quotes from it. "It says here that...."......!

GREAT read. Trust me. Buy it. You weill never, never EVER, look at life the same way again.

Schott's Almanac for non-poker is my suggestion. Full of useful and useless information
