First he has to get there, which for him is no foregone conclusion. So much so that he has taken to the train recently, letting it, rather than his insurers, take the strain.

As he relaxes in third class over his sixth JD and Coke, he peruses his check-list

* Set alarm clock to make sure I am there for the 2pm Saturday start

* Drop a cheeky £20 into Larry the lobster before the punters arrive, one day I might be able to thrust a pay-out ticket in GreekStein's face

* Check camera battery charged.

* Re-check camera battery charged.

* Try to beat personal update record of 275 valet and RedTooth girl pics on one day.

* Remember to use live update clock (underlined as I always forget this)

* Make sure I do not follow Barry Neville into the car Park

* Do live update.

* Have monster session post comp on the Sunday night
