That need answering ...
You know how everyone has random questions that pop into their heads and they need an answer ... well lets start a thread where we can all try and answer them.
I will start with...
News of the world costs £1
Sun costs 30p
How much of the cover price does the newsagent get ?
I know that newspapers are a "Sale or return" item ... but how much do the shops make from each copy ?

when i was a paperboy the newsagents got about 4p from the sale of a 25p paper |

When i worked in a paper shop i was told that they earnt next to nothing on a weekly paper but it got people through the door. Weekend papers with all the extra inserts are better money makers.

Without digging out some paperwork the Sun and News of the World both have a profit of about 8p. They are not full sale or return,only a percentage may be returned,how big a percentage depends on your relationship with the wholesaler.

I want to know why my unaided eyesight gets better if I stop wearing my contacts for a while.
Also, if you are on a blind date and you suspect the date may not originally have been the gender they stated on the form, how do you tell for sure/bring this up politely? Thanks in advance.
