I want to know the thinking behind the bombing of the moon. I'm not sure that the discovery of water in outerspace is as important as showing a peaceful approach to the aliens.
Apart from trespassing on their planets and taking pictures, now we're bombing them - how good an impression are we making, as they watch us with their telescopes, and we bomb their homes? It's not as if we even have a whiff of a WMD.

Scientists are trying to show that the moon is made of cheese and they developing WMDs (Weapons of Mice Distraction). I read a really nice book once, called 'Cosmology' by Harrison http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/0521229812/ref=ed_oe_h_olp (cheaper old version) and he goes on at length about intelligent alien life forms (ldo, there are billions of em) and he argues to a conclusion (based around natural selection etc) that almost all of them would be hostile to humans and would seek our destruction given the chance. In fact he suggests that it's so likely that they already know we're here, and are hostile to us, that there's a possibility there are devices in place to wipe us out whenever they get round to it. And this is from a *really* well-respected cosmologist. FOL. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cosmology-Science-Universe-Edward-Harrison/dp/052166148X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1255358275&sr=8-1

How much of the £1 actually goes directly in to the prize pool?

The same toothpaste question can also be asked about this product mayo and ketchup in a tube with perfect stripes, great with chips.

I always thought the tube had separate compartments inside, but I'm not sure. Why not cut the end off and have a look? (I've only got plain toothpaste or I would have done it myself already)

Dutch mayo is dodgy on it's own. It doesn't need to be mixed with ketchup and given a funky name.
