how long did it take you to learn the maps? I find myself lost an awful lot and when i find a good spot to snipe from some mug comes in behind and stabs me! I am terrible but love playing, prob should play normal team deathmatch to improve my map skills.
Install the game to your hard drive - you'll have a chance of hearing the person coming up behind you... ?? |

The xbox dvd drive is so load that running the game from that drowns out a lot of sound (at least mine did - I didn't know there were ambient sounds!). If you install it the xbox is a lot quieter and you can hear people sneaking up on you/stabbing people near you etc

I'd play normal instead of hard core to begin with and watch the killcam when you die, it's a great learning tool. |

blooming pc game. with all it's stabbing! im getting better but cant play any games based on kills because every one is so stupid. only ones ive found to be any good are domination and sabotage.

hmmm i Get way more kills than deaths in deathmatch games, if i play any game thats not based on kills i get owned and die loads

because camping is the better tactic in these games. How can you have a respawn game based on camping? and a shoot em up game where most kills are stabs? this game tilts the feck out of me. I also just played rust for the first time ever, im a noob granted, think just reached level 42 first time round, but how is that possible? (rigged?) |

I don't see knifers that often and the only time they bother me is if they are really laggy - one guy was jumping 10m at a time due to lag and then jumping 10m to stab which was pretty crazy.
Just need to keep your ears open for the knife sound and watch your back. Talking as a team helps as well.

you cant shoot them within stabbing distance (which is about 15 feet) because when they go through the motion they dont get hurt. same with when people go from standing to prone. gonna try and play the single player mission see if I can recoup anything from this game. if not i'm gonna look out my Deus EX cd and reinstall the best shooter type i've ever played. |
