*** EDITORIAL DECISION ALERT ***

Only 46 have turned up for the £300 tonight. Therefore, this will NOT be a double points event. I'm just off now, it was a late start and has been changed to 20,000 chips from 10,000 because of the small field. Also to give Sir Donkalot more than 15 mins of play. A good decision.

20,000 chips and an hour clock, every blind level inc 75-150 and 150-300, 45-odd runners, only seven paid? It sounds sumptuous as regards structure but it was way too slow. I reckon they'll end up with 15-17 going back tomorrow and I just donked'em off in the end. It took five hours of completed play before the blinds hit 200-400 and an ante came in.
At least two turned up to play but turned away again. I thought about not going once I'd heard they'd gone to 20,000 but just fancied playing and had some fun messing around on the opening table. Why tinker with an advertised structure? I'm sure it peeved more than it pleased.

Agreed structure was way too slow - maybe add 5K chips if they wanted a final only for Day 2 or add the 10K with faster levels - the power of the telly imo.

Anyway, far too late for you to change the double points thing - gerrymandering of the worse order, like the G changing the structure - do you see ?

Has to be single points for this one I'm afraid.
Please make the final Nirvana and please say in the subsequent interview that you only made it because you knocked out the most dangerous player, The Sicilian, with one pair no kicker on a scary board. A bonus league point if you do...

gl Glenn

FML, I miss a 20,000 chip comp. I could have sat there for decades waiting for Aces. Totally unneccesary to increase the chips wasn't it? Purely to ensure some runners were left for the day 2 cameras?

Lets hope they don't play around with this afternoon's 10,000 chip jobbie

Yes, another bonus point for that. Also, five bonus points for saying you were just glad the best player in Luton, Chompy, was knocked out before the final table, as it would all have been so different.

Indeed Tighty. I have no idea why they couldn't have just stuck to 10000 and said 'stop' as soon as they got to the final table.

Here's hoping

On second thoughts dont do the red wine thing - wouldn't want to make it look contrived at all......

I will be going past Luton after a family lunch in time for start of £200 if anyone wants to stake me!! Had a great game last night at DTD- just got unlucky - back in the zone and after a good nutritious lunch and an easter egg need to burn off some of that sugar rush!
