Someone is standing infront of you offering an amount in CASH $$ for you to never play a single hand of any variant of poker ever again in your life.

How much do you accept?

No idea. I don't like these completely ridiculous scenarios...

But if I had to give an answer.. £500,000 should do it.

Do you play poker for a living?

If not this is an insane amount just to quit a hobby.

I don't play for a living and I wouldn't do it for less than half a mill.

As I said to Maria, I just love the misery this game brings me too much.

My immediate thought was £1m, but then straight away the brain was reeling with all the possible tourneys I could enter if I had that kind of money.  It's a bit of a double edged sword really.  Enjoy it too much and don't spend enough to get myself into financial trouble, so it would be a hard sell and a hard one to stick to after.

i play poker for a hobby but most of my life is based round poker

money isnt important to me as i can comfotably live off my pensions living this far north

but £250k would mean i could have a decent holiday every month for the rest of my life

so would quit poker for £500k as i would like to some to my family
