come across the most ridic ruling in the world 2day...

scenario: 200/400... cutoff makes it 700.. obv there is some dispute over this between players/dealer etc...ruling is called..

TD decides that the 700 goes as a raise!!!! apparently u can make it 600 at 200/400... so far off the mark here....

next time u guys play u can make a raise to 75 total in the first level....lool

This would be universally (except Luton mgmt) agreed.  However, Luton mgmt seem to like hanging out on a limb on rulings that are wrong and then standing their ground.  For instance, in your example, if someone min-raises to 800, many of the supervisors would hold the next legal raise to be 1600 minimum ("double the last bet") where quite clearly everyone else in poker thinks that the minimum legal re-raise would simply be to 1200 ("raise at least as much as the last raise (or bet)")

Have they stopped doing this now?  No one minds the odd incorrect ruling or interpretation of the rules, but couldn't they just admit when they have got it wrong rather than stand firm behind a mistake?

Sorry Unimaginative, am I being a bit Tim Nice But Seb here? The TD let the bet go as 700 rather than saying he has to make it 800?
