Wiiiii, a result on AWOP, and what a result!
Noddery Doddery, Evil and Thomas all made the final six in what must have been a jack-high shovefest. Amazed it's finished by now in truth.
So, 12pts for Tikay, 7pts for her Evilness, who accused me of 'tiddle-arsing' in a couple of pots at Circus Circus the other night (outrageous!), and 6pts for the burly builder.
Top five phrases heard at the final table...
1. "How much did he back-raise me ducky?"
2. "What's the least amount I can bet?"
3. "I like that Fiona Bruce but she'll never be as good as Hugh Scully."
4. "Is that a diamond or a club? The light is very bad in here. And I'm cold."
5. "Anybody want to do a deal, only the coach to Bridlington leaves very early in the morning."
Top January points scorer - Luther
Top February points scorer - Boer Wars
The light IS very bad in there, & I WAS very cold.
Poor Tom Myland had a mare.
He Finalled courtsey of THE most bizarrely played hand. Mr Extremely Tight shoved, Mr Even Tighter Re-Shoved, & Tom snap called with A-Q. He was against K-K, &, err, K-K. Ship the bink.
So he Finalled as HUGE stack, whilst, as usual, I was in 3xBB Cruise Mode.
Then the Gods of Variance decided it was time to make up for that A-Q v K-K v K-K coup.
First, Tom snap-called with A-K, walking smack-bang into Edna's cutely played Aces.
Next, Tom snap-called with A-Q, walking smack-bang into George's Aces. And George is tighter than me, so that was his minimum hand.
Finally, Tom limped with his own Aces on my BB, & I had A-7 of clubs. I had the nuts on the Turn, which was the first time Tom put any money in, I got a V-Bet off him on the end.
We finished at about 3.30am!
