The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour's Summer Series continues this week with festivals taking place at the G casinos in Luton and Aberdeen. The Luton festival begins on Wednesday 9th June, with three days of side events before the £500 main event takes place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th. The Aberdeen festival begins on Thursday 10th June, with two days of side events prior to the £300 main event, which also takes place on Saturday and Sunday. Players will also be able to watch World Cup matches while they play, as these will be screened in both poker rooms while tournaments are in progress.
The Summer Series enables players for whom the £1,000 main events of the regular tour are outside their bankroll, to experience the GUKPT, but at a more affordable level. As per the main tour, all tournaments on the Summer Series award ranking points to finalists and seats in the £150,000 Champion of Champions tournament to the winners.
Players can buy in directly to all Summer Series tournament from any Grosvenor or G casino. Players can also buy in directly online at the poker room of gcasino.com, where there are are also two online super satellites per week. These take place at 8.30pm on Fridays and Sundays and have two packages guaranteed in each. Packages include seats in side events as well as the main events of Summer Series festivals and winners can choose which Summer Series festival to use them in.
