Well done guys both short stacks when i left two tables out..
Lolz...i had a monstrous blow up after playing well...some guy freaked me by checking jacks on a 10 high board until he finally bet the river....tilted me into 4 bet shoving a rock with 6 high next hand who took ages to call off with AK... and good news on the car front no one scratched it last night... made sure i didnt tell vinny where i hid it...

I must cast a cloud on this hitherto lovely thread, & report on some less than savoury matters fom Sunday night at the G.
The competitve spirit in some people gets out of control, & to see the depths to which they will scoop to somehow, beg, borrow & plead for some means to gain backdoor League Points is a sad sight indeed.
When the Final began, I was sitting quietly, as we experienced serial Chip Leaders are inclined to do, & one player had a coughing fit. It was really quite bad, & & we all looked concerned as he coughed & coughed.
"Cough cough. Coug cough cough."
"You OK mate?"
"Yes, cougher, cougher."
"You sure you are OK?"
"Cough-aver, coughAVER."
"Want some water, m8?"
"CoughSAVER, coughSAVER, SAVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR."
Anyway, I do my duty as Chip Leader & give blessing to a saver, designed for no other reason than to allow the lesser players a chance of League Points, &, as luck would have it, our man's coughing fit has now passed.
The Final trundles on, my stack gets ever bigger, & the Blinds go a whopping 4k-8k, the other 5 players all have about 4 Bigs each, & Mr Cough has about 3 Bigs.
Now he is worried for all of us, "the Blinds are huge, let's chop it up, there's no play" says he. Note the words "No play" from the man who has managed a record 213 shoves in one evening, starting in Level 2. Someone else chimes in with the world's most hackneyed deal line, "it only takes one hand". Yawn.
Being the decent chap I am, & with £1,200 up top, I generously agree to accept £1,000, with the other 5 all getting £600 each.
Now our man with the dreadful cough insists, as he peers over his imposing bowl of rice, on being recorded as 2nd in the Tourney.
Grown men begging, ugh.
You'd not see Sicilian do that.

Final Table Bubble now, everyone is folding everything. I nick the Blinds twice with air.
I find K-K, British Gas has got himself pot-stuck wirh A-K, ship another 2xup.
Our Table is 5-handed, & I absent-mindedly wave "all-in" with my

It was a MASSIVE Pot. Sometimes, you just KNOW you are gonna bink. I needed 2 Trays to carry the Chips to the Final, a lifetime first for me.
I made the Final as Chip Daddy, & my luck continued.
It was all so easy - just patience & extreme, hardcore, binkage.

If I can manage an un-interrupted & badly needed nap this afternoon, after several very late poker nights in a row, I hope to be there. LML has just bailed out, she has a VO to do in the morning, & I'm waiting for confirmation that Orford is still coming.

need to check with my local police first to see if said female has left the area of my local casino and that she is far enough away not to feel harrassed and upset at the sight of me eating steak.

As bad as you do when she tells you to take her to blackpool for the weekend and book a hotel room.... for one...
Although you would be my hero if you could seal that deal and stick the tawdry tale in Chompys eye... thus making him revert to taking back the George Doors Lookalike Latvian he let escape from the Fens dungeon and play poker at the G...only for him to limp for 200 then call 8.5k shove with KQ os.... so bad it was actually funny..
