The place was
buzzing
last night, with APRAT members and Bollywood stars everywhere you turned.
The final table was unf APRAT free but glammed up by the presence of two Bollywood stars, 'The Dashing Prince' with Malcolm's rug stuck to his chest (failed to cash) and 'The Angry Princess' (British Gas, who failed to cash after a horrible beat with 11 left).
George Doors also fell just shy of the prize money after I took him out when he shoved Q7 into my skilfully played bobbies. And that left eight, with six officially paid.
At this stage I was comfortable but never like to float the idea of savers, even when in such a dominating position. Fortunately, Anthony Kendall, keen to show the silver-screen boys that TV 'celebrities' have 'class' too, took the bull by the horns and suggested money back for seventh and eighth. Done.
Six handed, with me clear of the rest and only just behind Tikay (approx 150k to 135k) someone suggested we chop it up. I was keen to play on, but Kenny P, Graham P, Trevor P, Bagof P and Beardforum wanted to do a deal. So that was that. Another 12pts in the bag pour moi; another 15pts in the manbag pour Anthony. The top of the table is getting very congested.
Elsewhere, in the uber-slow stud thing, G-Rodge got his usual Sunday points haul (6), while Pizgeon took second to ease he's relegation fears.

Beardforum is genius. Well played. Apat points don't count for league pointsurely? Not all league players are eligible to play it.

An OUTRAGEOUS Daily Report by our Leader. It almost outrageous-es my earlier, but fractionally, Report.
World of his own, that boy. But it was good to see him sneakily look admiringly at Birdforum last night. I sense love, awe, & maybe more.
Bollywood's a bit of a character, eh? Has amost as much arm-hair as Chmps.

Monday quiz
Name these players, all attracted by APAT not APRAT, and the Stud comp. Like old times, it must have been....

1. Each competitor picks a team of five
different (just for Drainy)
players from the following list of 50 Luton regulars, for a combined total of no more than
£15m
.
2. Points are scored as per the Luton Blondeite League, Win - 15ts, Second - 12, Third - 9, Fourth - 7, Fifth - 6, Sixth - 5, Seventh - 4, Eighth - 3, Ninth - 2, any other registered finish - 1.
Savers ONLY paid to two places below the official pay-out positions.
50+ runners = +3pts on to all positions.
75+ runners = +6pts on to all positions.
100+ runners = +9pts on to all positions.
150+ runners = +12pts on to all positions.
200+ runners = +15pts on to all positions.
All tournaments
at the G Casino only, not Circus Circus (just for Drainy)
count as long as 25 or more players compete.

Final prize breakdown

Second = £300
Third = £200
4. The competition runs from 1 January-30 June.

Unless I was having a terrible nightmare, I was present for the final moments of the £100 last night, and I have to say that one of the accounts of what happened (at that awkward moment when 5 of us found ourselves with roughly the same amount of chips) is to put it politely,a work of fiction only rivaled perhaps by the Hobbit or lord of the rings?
As a side line one can clearly now see why Dean needs a paint shop twice in a few days.

Fortunately no one heard your various comments... mine as always are light hearted and in jest...

Dean, the people whom I spoke to on the table I briefly shared with you did hear my comments as you put it because they commented back, I dont remember who was on the table but the main person i was talking to was alan grey and he clearly heard me because he replied, its called conversation, having said that I dont think Alan and I have ever had a sensible conversation in all the time we have known each other, and I think that most people take what I say with a pinch of salt, i am there for a break from work and to relax, win lose or draw it makes little difference to my life.

Steve... i believe we were all having a little light hearted banter throughout our time at the table but you seemed to imply because of a simple jesty comment i deserve to get my car vandalised... just seemed a bit off to me that's all..... thinking about it however it sounds like another example of your gobi like humour..
What you say about people at the table who are not there has no bearing on my life and on most occasions they are quite amusing...
As always it was a pleasure to share a table with you sir...
