The official (non-deal) result will go down as:

Stuart Fox is the 3rd place finisher winning £8,400k

G Butler is the 2nd place finisher winning £13,500k

Micky Wernick is the 1st place finisher and Luton Christmas Cracker Champion winning £27,100

Just to confirm; this is the official result only. A deal was done and then after a short session of playing seriously, they all decided to move-in and finish for the night.

Micky's pocket sevens stood up against two Q-9 holdings.

Hi All,

Many thanks for all your support during the final. If I could I would like to clear up a couple of things. I never intended to act out of turn with Stuart. My intention was to plat the other player heads up. When he reraised all in I just called as it was only another 7500. Stuart then asked me to back up. He wanted to know the rule and I said I would go with whatever he wanted regardless of what the house rule was. In my opinion Stuart then made the right decision and passed. He was behind to the Kings and I had the ace. Had he reraised or called he would have won the hand but I would have lost no more chips as I hit nothing.

As for the problems with the restaurant let me just say that the poker room staff did everything possible to help. I made a move with QK and got reraised. I was getting good pot odds and called to find him with AQ. I lost .....what can I say. It was my fault.

Finally for my tip of the week. After two days play and a few lucky and unlucky breaks I feel my tournament was decided by a lapse in concentration. It had nothing to do with the cards. I lost my focus for one hand and it was the end for me. On every other occasion when I lost a pot I could gather myself and refocus....The lesson being "focus and concentrate all the time" and their ends the gospel according to St Denis..Thanks again to all for your help and well done Blonde on a the coverage. I am proud to be part of the team.

Denis

Tikay can you pass on my Congratulations. Tell him that Matt Arnott says "Well played Mickey". A worthy winner and a worthy European Rankings winner - I hope no offence is taken by Dave C or Pascal who are both terrific chaps worthy of their successes too.

Very good of Denis to come on here and clarify the honest mistake that occurred earlier on - In addition I thought he was playing better than I have seen him play for ages too. Good on him.

Well, WHAT a night!

Firstly, thanks to everyone at Grosvenor & Rank for their hospitality, which throughout 2005 has been wonderful at all their Venues.

To the Staff & Mannagement at Luton, wow, how well did THEY look after us? Carmel - who hosted dinner for blonde & 425 this evening, Helen, Simon, Dina, & all the dealers & valets, & not forgetting the bright & cheery Receptionists, & Big Tony, who walks Jen & snoops to their cars down "muggers alley" every night.

To Jen & snoops - how lucky are blonde to have them?

But the abiding memory of today, which I will never forget, was THE most extraordinary performance by Micky Wernick. Much Respect, Mr W.

I'm M1 bound, heading home, nearly the end of a long & tiring Updating year - just Helsinki left in 2005  - but great, great fun, which would not have been possible without blondepoker & the blondeites.

It's been emotional. Wink
