Hi All

A heads up team event is being held on DTD Poker starting Monday , we currently have 10 teams entered including a DTD team of Nick , Simon and i ( so dead money lol ) and there are 6 more places available . Should it fill at 48 players the winning team will all get Monte Carlo seats and £510 expenses each . The prizepool is currently £3000 so only one more team required to get a seat each and anything over that will be split for expenses.

I know this is last minute but it is £300 per team juice free so if you can get a team of 3 together and want to enter contact Simon Nowab either via email snowab@dtdpoker.com or give him a call on 07792 417461 and he will organise your entry.

Details of event are here...

Team event to win Monte Carlo Packages starts Monday 30 November

·         16 teams

·         3 players per team (get your mates together into one team)

·         Played in a knockout format similar to champions league football

·         All games are played heads up

·         Buy in is a £100 per player ( no juice )

THE PRIZE

The winning team gets a £4,800 Monte Carlo package (made up of 3 x tickets to the £250K Monte Carlo event at DTD in Nottingham + £510 in expenses for each team member) Subject to event selling out of course.

HOW IT WORKS

The 16 teams are split into 4 groups

Groups stage - Example:

Group 1
 Group 2
 Group 3
 Group 4

Bordeaux
 Man Utd
 Real Madrid
 Chelsea

Juventus
 Wolfsburg
 AC Milan
 FC Porto

Bayern Munich
 CSKA Moscow
 Marseille
 Atletico Madrid

Maccabi Haifa
 Besiktas
 FC Zurich
 Apoel Nicosia

Groups 1 & 2 play their games on Monday 30 November.

Groups 3 & 4 will play their games on Wednesday 2 December.

Here is an example of the Group 1 games that will be played: All games are heads up games:

Bordeaux’s Player ONE              vs         Juventus Player ONE

Bordeaux’s Player TWO                         vs         Bayern Munich Player TWO

Bordeaux’s Player THREE          vs         Maccabi Haifa Player THREE

Juventus Player TWO                 vs         Bayern Munich Player THREE

Juventus Player THREE              vs         Maccabi Haifa Player ONE

Bayern Munich Player ONE        vs         Maccabi Haifa Player TWO

The two teams that win the most games in this round go through to the quarter finals

In the event of a tie –  the captains will play a one off sudden death match and the winner takes his team through to the next round.

QUARTER FINALS – played on Monday 7 December

The quarter finals are knock out – where teams will go head to head

Assuming that Juventus win group 1 – they will play the runner up of group 2 (for example Wolfsburg)

So the games will be:

Bordeaux’s Player ONE              vs         Wolfsburg Player ONE

Bordeaux’s Player TWO                         vs         Wolfsburg Player TWO

Bordeaux’s Player THREE          vs         Wolfsburg Player THREE

Team that wins at least two of their heads up games, progress to the semi finals

SEMI FINALS – played on Wednesday 9 December

In the semi finals, each player will play two heads up games and again whichever team wins, goes through to the finals - so it becomes the best of 6 games. In the event of a tie –  the captains will play a one off sudden death match and the winner takes his team through to the next round.

FINALS – played on Thursday 10 December

In the final all three players (of finalists number 1) will play all three players (of finalists number 2) - so it becomes the best of 9 games.

Looks complicated to me but hey win it and you and your mates have got seats into the £250,000 guaranteed Monte Carlo 18th to 20th December .

Cheers
