So if you raise when you are a dog you are a fish

Your in early position with a great hand, at the point the first raise is made you have every right to assume you have the best hand. Your raise helps you to discover that this may not be true. By which time your getting such good odds, your hand is still very strong, that you have to call.

It seems to me that you have somehow managed to put $183 into a pot where your EV is only $172.16 - surely that can't be right?

doesnt really matter what stakes omaha I am playing there- my money is going in with this hand. That hand is one of the rank 1 holdings in omaha and I don't think you will find any decent omaha cash player who would fold it. There are very few hand you can give to both opponents were you will be -EV to make the call. Stick your money in and pull up if it goes wrong. If you are willing to pass this hand in this situation you should not be playing cash omaha games, try something safer like limit holdem $2/$4.

So if you raise when you are a dog you are a fish

did i say that?

what i said is that the idea of poker is to get your money in with the best of it not when your a dog and drawing

yeah KQJTds is a great drawing hand but its like AKs in holdem just a drawing hand and in omaha you really dont want to be raising OUT OF POSTION with a drawing hand

in holdem i will raise with AKs in ealry postion but i wont get married to it

but UTG in holdem there is only 4/5 hands you can raise with preflop
AA KK QQ AKs And AKo
the rest you want to limp in and see the texture of the flop before commiting chips OUT OF POSTION

I think we will have to agree that there is more than one way to play this game.

I will refrain from mentioning that your way is pants. Wink

Once I have raised  $6 pre-flop and flat called the $32 that money is in the pot and is no longer mine.

When the desicion to call all-in came, I had $145. As you self-weight each desicion the call here is correct and a fold would have cost me $27.

The one thing i wouldnt have done here was make the early raise.

You wouldn't raise with  .

Mind if I ask why?

It really depends on the players on the table but in early position I wouldnt raise, I like to play off the flop in omaha.

Those flush draws can be pretty dangerous if you don't have the nut draws.
