Hi All

Could have been worse , we only started with 33 players and ended with 58 a 1 in 3 chance of winning a £1090 seat into next weeks £250,000 guaranteed Monte Carlo tournament.

Average spend was £149 which means to break even tomorrow we would need 146 players , can't see that happening so get yourself here tomorrow for some more serious value.

Doors open 12pm , Satellite starts 2pm , £50 rebuy with 3 x 24 minute levels of rebuys so arrive by 3.12pm and get a seat.

Next week we have 2 more 20 seat guaranteed Super Satellites online and a final live Super Satellite on Thursday with a final 20 seats up for grabs.

Total overlay for last 2 Supers is £20,422 , no one offers so much value to their customers , it must be xmas !

Win one of the seats and take part in the Monte Carlo £1090 buy in £250,000 guaranteed 30,000 chips , 10 x 60 minute levels day 1 , 9 x 75 minute levels days 2 and 3 . Someone is going to win over £81,000 for possibly as little as £50 live or €30 online.

Details including blind structure and direct buy in available here.

To be fair mate the players did exactly what they should've done. If they start going crazy they destroy all the value that's there. Nit up and keep the average buy in as low as poss for max value.

ok - but by the same token the ave stack would be 6k (assuming 2k starting stacks). If i thought i had an edge on the table id loosen up to get chips early (inc a few rebuys in necessary) to make that advantage. Low chips ave sattys turn into total luck contests.

so although you are right re value- im not sure it would stop me going for it to create an advantage

Guy you have a point but having played the event yesterday, everyone's chips were on lock down. It was very hard to actually pick up any significant chips early. If people were raising they generally have a hand. Obv with the seat being with 1100. You really don't wanna spend 300-400 quid when there's an overlay.

As a player I'm happy but as a DTD fan I'm not. I think they should have held one big guaranteed live satty rather than 3. I think that effected numbers yesterday

They tried that last time with the 50 seat guarantee online. Didn't work.

Although obviously it isn't perfect I don't think they'll be all that upset about these losses as many are expecting a loss on the guarantee anyway and this ought to bring that down slightly. Once that's taken into account then I think the actual cost to them of this satellite will be more in the region of £5k than £13.5k. Add to that the fact that with lots of 20 seat guaranteed sats more of their "regulars" are likely to qualify and possibly go on to win the thing and it seems like it could be a shrewd bit of marketing in the long term imo.

Who's playing today? I'll be there so there are only 19 seats up for grabs effectively.

I think 1 20 seater live satty today would have generated 30-35 seats rather than 3 seperate sattys guaranteeing 60 seats total.

And spending 1500 quid to win a 1090 seat isn't shrewd Keys. Thought you'd be balling it up in Galway

Are you sure? You think it would have got 250 runners?

Yep I reckon if they'd set one up. Advertised it heavily, it would have got quite a few runners and probably a few balla's travelling down willing to spend 700-800 to try and win an 1100 seat.

Why would they want travelling "ballas" as opposed to honest work-a-day regs. to get the value ?

I think what DTD would like is to fill these guarantees. As I said previously- love the value from my point of view but at the same time don't want DTD to suffer

This has got to put future higher stake buy ins at DTD in jeopardy.
