Well done Richie Prew, read a lot of the updates, very funny in parts

Played all of Day 1 with Blatchly and Ashique - it felt like a new home we were there so long so would like to see both of them do well

Blatch = seems like a very nice bloke

Ashique = pretty cool dude

Great updates Tighty TYVM.

Thanks to DTD for a great competition. Organised brilliantly as ever.

Unlucky Mitch and Nick Hicks , reckon both will win a biggie next year.

Good luck to Malc , Mad Turk , and Blatch ( not that he needs it ) .

Now, I don't know about you but I am looking forward to this

Many impressive players, some good blondes and a fun day likely

My tip? While I would be delighted to see several people win my tip is Ben Vinson. Don't know the guy, and frankly doesn't seem that approachable, but looks a very good player to me and he trebled up in the last level of the night to move slap bang into contention. Sorry Ben, that's your hopes up in smoke.

Meanwhile will try to bring you updates of the £300 final table from 2.30pm. We have the two chip leaders.

Firstly James "Cottonbud" Williams a man with a face so youthful one would think he had barely done a day's work all his life. Oh, wait a minute.

Secondly Cos "GreekStein" Paperestis, who has looked a class above a lot of his field all event. Don't tell him that though. At one point yesterday Cos had a little dispute over a situation on his table with the floor manager. They both walked away from the table, near me, and discussed the situation. It was like a busman's holiday for me, watching GreekStein argue over minutiae and not wanting to back down. I was also quite tickled later on to walk past the internet terminal booths here in the club to see side by side Cos and one of his online "friends" $muscle$ both surfing the forum, oblivious to the presence of the other.

We also have the shortstack, one Charles "cf" Flynn. He of the hair, and the rule books. and Chris "dancefloorpro" Gregg who I met last night. Chris could not resist breaking out into his dancefloor moves in the DTD bar. One hopes he sticks to the poker. Strictly Come Dancing this is not. Unless you happen to be Ola Jordan, in which case you can be what you like.

They have £10,395 up top so this should be a tasty final table and I will bring you updates through the afternoon.

Just to get us through the next hour here is a picture of dancefloorpro himself.

Congratulations on his final table, and his win on Strictly Come Dancing last night. That's Monday morning on IPlayer sorted then.

Dean Pearson from Leeds is next to me

I thought we'd do a mini-interview before play starts......

He is on blonde as BulldozerD and qualified online in last Wednesday's satellite.........

So, Dean, tell us about yesterday...

"I had a steady Day day 1, then things took off when I was moved mid-way through Day 2, finding KK six times in the latter part of day 2. Didn't get paid very often, but picked up enough to make progress"

Any key hands?

"A key hand was near the bubble, I raised with AK off having been quite active and got 3-bet to 45k. I called.

Flop A-J-4 all spades but my cards were all red.

I check called a 58k flop bet

Check check on a 7 spades turn

River a red 2, and I bet 50k, without a spade and pretty sure my opponent doesn't have a spade and the opponent folds showing J-J-J!"

So today you start as the chip leader? Are you nervous?

"Not really, just didn't sleep very well! Noisy neighbours, and adrenalin still running"

Any strategy for today?

"Playing it as it comes, not changing a thing from how I got here"

What are your normal games?

"Don't play very much online, some $50 freezeouts but play local live freeze-outs regularly in Leeds, APAT events, sometimes the £300 in DTD"

Thank and good luck today Dean!
