We,ve had a few frozen points tonight...t n rs come out with deicer n. Sort it out.np.....but more severely we had a spad incident earlier...in effect a runaway train...passing 3 signals at danger....said train was diverted from the course of a passenger train by an eagle eyed signalman....raib are at the scene now....from the frontline...urs brassmonkeys bhoy reporting

3 SPAD's on the west coast! Thats redic!

£1,000 a minute delay's on the West Coast.

I work For Network Rail, working out of Motherwell, i work in the EPS (Enhanced Permissible Speed) Dept. Basically we cover everywhere in the West Coast with lines speeds up to 125mph, anything over 110mph is classed as EPS. Total Station Survey and design work mostly.

as for loving our abbrev's, well im an IWA, COSS, PC, ES, PICOP and S.PICOP!

Please expand, how did one train go through 3 Reds? Don't frieght  brakes not come on via TPWS or is that not in place yet up there. Oh and by the way Mods do a good enough job here no need for a Coss.

I was also not aware that I came across like this as I tend not to post much really so has come as a bit of a surprise. I shall continue not to post too much in future.  Merry Christmas.

I'm only jesting nun...u know ur stuff...lol....errr not sure how or why the spads...total brake failure presumably.....scary actually...I know the train was examined at pre departure...I think this happens more regular than the public know in these icy conditions
