Anyone ever had a turducken?

We had one of those this year Cos, the 3 bird roast thing right? Turkey, Duck and Chicken.

Whale vomit my arse. Just got back from inlaws, lovely dinner turkey roast and all the trimmings too stuffed for pud. That Heston bloke pisses me off, the great big fusspot.

Had a simple dinner this year - no starters - straight into Turkey (which I'd brined - made a huge difference to how moist it was) - roasties in goose fat, 3 types of stuffing, roast parsnips, roast shallots & roast carrots, sprouts fried with bacon & butter, pigs in blankets & cheddar mash.

Wee sis made a cheesecake  - half with cream cheese & lemon curd topping, half with white chocolate cream. Mum made a chocolate roll yule log cake.

The christmas pud is still in its pot & will be fried in brandy butter to go with the breakfast fryup.

I made the dinner this year, no special stuff and hardly any green crap too.

Turkey and Beef, Roast Spuds, Peas & Yorkshires. Also had soup for starters. Doesn't sound much but it was loverly. Got shitloads of meat left though as just me and Ling this year and we had a massive Turkey Crown and long load of Beef.

Mr Karabiner cooked me THE most splendid non-Christmas Christmas Dinner. He's a very fine cook chef indeed.

Peas (token green veg intake), the most delicious rib of beef I've ever eatened, Roasties (boiled then fluffed in colander before roasting), & the most wonderful Yorkshire Puds (home-made), each as big as a bullders tea-mug. I had just the 3 of them.

Chriistmas Pud & cream for afters/pudding/suite/dessert.

Mr Karabiner indulged in some fine red wine, then decanted a bottle of '83 Port (not that '85 muck, Laz) & opened up the humidor to select a fine Cuban.

Most pleasing.

Thank you Ralph!

Hmmm, little bro did well again this year. 10 of us sat down for lunch, and there was well over half the stuff he'd cooked up left over. We had deep fried camembert to start, with a whole poached salmon to pick at,  followed by roast turkey, beef and ham, stuffing, pigs in blankets, little cheese and bacon things, goose fat roasties, yorkshires, roasted parsnips, carrots and sprouts, leeks, broccoli, a potato gratin thingy with cheese and spinach, finished off with the most delicious proper gravy.  He also made some great chicken liver pate which we had for supper.

(not sure why this has come out sideways!)

I'm still stuffed.
