pokertracker is the daddy.

Have ranted about it's features and how indispensable it is a couple of times before here.

Don't want folk thinking I'm on commision, so I'll just say give it a look.

One (slightly) amusing diversion is if you go to the Poker Edge website and put in the Poker Stars ID of their supposed big name players like Moneymaker and Hachem it reports them as being fish!  Does this imply they are not really trying or are they really crap and just got lucky in the first place?

Interesting. I occasionally play with some guys (from North Alabama/ S Tennessee) who claim to have played regularly with Moneymaker before his WSOP big win, and they said he wasnt very good. They went as far as to say they were dumfounded when he won the big prize.

Greg Raymer looks as if he has proved what a good player he is with his excellent show this year, and other high profile tournaments.

Hachem, looks too early to tell. But you must be decent to beat 6000 players.

I totally agree about Raymer. Just because he won his first big event as the WSOP main, he gets lumped in with Moneymaker and Varkonyi who are carp. Raymer has a seriously good game imo. It is too early to tell about Hachem.

Hachem was a winning player on the $10/20 NL cash games on Laddies.

Just go to the 2+2 forums and search for Raymers posts, the guy is EXTREMELY knowledgable and very well respected.
He was a very strong cash game player prior to his big win also.

Raymer had 1 or 2 final tables at big events prior to win, if he does not get votes for best player in 2005 people are nuts. He is also a very nice guy Cool
