The graveyard shootout in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Tarentino called it "cinematic perfection"!

In this scene the shootout starts on the last chime of the pocket watch. How do they know which will be the last chime?

It's always bugged me

No you are thinking of "For a Few Dollars More" - the 2nd in the "trilogy".

The two guys shooting out, played by Mario Brega and Lee Van Cleef have been the last two owners of the watch - so they know it's tune.

Yes, you're right about which film it was, but the "Tune" is the same 5 notes, repeated until the watch spring runs down

Yeah that's it. Brega uses the watch countdown jobbie for every shootout everytime he kills someone, only he is unstuck vs Van Cleef as he owned the 2nd watch in the pair. The sneaky little blighter.

It's all about the crane kick in Karate Kid. Every geezer in school did it for a week after every time it was on.

the ferris wheel scene from The Third Man

Victims? Don't be melodramatic. (He opens the door to the car.) Look down there. Would you really feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever? If I offered you 20,000 pounds for every dot that stopped, would you really, old man, tell me to keep my money? Or would you calculate how many dots you could afford to spare? Free of income tax, old man, free of income tax. The only way you can save money nowadays.

and

In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed - but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. So long, Holly.
