I've removed a link or two, & I know WL will not mind. I think you can work out Partry Poker's url if you really need to.

BEAM ME UP SCOTTY! KARA JOINS TEAM PARTY

Gibraltar – 14th January 2010 – Top professional poker player and television presenter Kara Scott has signed a deal to represent Party Poker Kara is the newest member of ‘Team Party,’ and will join 2009 Poker Hall of Fame inductee Mike Sexton, Remy Biechel, Ian Frazer, Felipe ‘Mojave’ Ramos, Stewart Scott and Bodo Sbrzesny in the ranks.

Kara’s new deal features buy-ins for top live tournaments around the world as well as television presenting and she will be at the helm as the Premier League moves to Vegas for the first time in February. A PartyPoker spokesman said: “Kara is a great signing and we are really looking forward to working with her. She has historic links with PartyPoker after taking down the Sports Stars Challenge III and we have been super impressed by her progress since then. In 2008, she finished 104th for $41,816 and in 2009 she took 238th place. Her live earnings are over $550,000.

Kara is a frequent contributor to a variety of poker media and is one half of the famous UK podcast ‘On the Rail.’ She has also been a producer on a movie and was the first presenter of a backgammon tournament on television in Europe . This is a real fairy-tale story for Kara.

When she was at Poker Night Live, she was new to the game, & did not have a clue. She received a lot of coaching, especially from Nick Wealthall & Matt Broughton, & you know the rest.

In Poker TV Presenting, it's awesome the way she has worked at her role to become the undisputed queen of Poker Presenters. It is not a natural talent, she's worked hard to become as good as she is, diligently researching her work, & her wardrobe is spectacular.

Now she's sorted for life if she keeps her nose clean, & I'm sure she will.

She's a warm & friendly soul too, with no edge. (It's hard to imagine she once excelled at Kick-Boxing!).

Many congratulations Kara, & long may that success endure.

I don't know if I sometimes read into things too much when I'm conscious of trying not to get whooshed.

However, I've met Kara a few times (sick brag - she's hotter in real life than on TV) and she's just really down to earth and genuine it seems so best of luck to her.

Definitely didn't get whooshed by the taught by Nick Wealthall & Matt Broughton thing though. Her boyfriend is Brian Townsend ffs!!!

Congrats and best of luck for the future.

No secret messages here Cos, what you see is what you get. And the Nick & Matt story is 100% true. This was, of course, before Brian was on the scene. I'm sure Brian has helped her further with her game, but she will readily acknowledge the help she got from Nick, mainly, but Matt, too. Nick also Railed her throughout her WSOP exploits, you will recall.

Hat's off to Kara.

But who exactly are Remy Biechel, Felipe ‘Mojave’ Ramos, Stewart Scott and Bodo Sbrzesny?

No doubt people from their native lands probably have said 'who is Ian Frazer'?'

I think Stewart Scott won the Aussie Millions, if he is the chap I think he is then I played with him in Oz once and he was a nice fella. Bodo I think is one of the biggest grinders on PP and got his place in the team from his loyalty (he also played the poker cash den on ) which I think is the correct reason to get sponsorship these days.

Dunno bout the other two, probably foreign.

Bodo was on the cash game that Party sponsored and played really well IMO. I think he is a mid-high stakes cash game grinder.

yeah bodo was funny, they were all like who is this weird looking online thing, and then he sat there and started playing the streets and being aggressive pre and capable of rebuying and it was like oh dear......

Not quite the best tv debut i've seen, that was a german kid called benny sitting to the left of kevin saul at some big donkathon. most tilting thing was the commentator not understanding that benny was picking up so many chips off of kevin because he was on his left; doh! but he played amazingly, really really amazingly, you know just to sidetrack a bit!

Oh and Karas a hotty Cheesy
