"...CASH LEGEND BENYAMINE REGISTERS FOR PARTYPOKER PREMIER LEAGUE IV

Gibraltar – 25th January 2010 –.partypoker and Matchroom Sport are delighted to announce that French high stakes cash legend David Benyamine has joined the line-up for PartyPoker Premier League IV in Las Vegas, with the main event running from the 12th – 18th February 2010. He joins a line-up that also includes Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, Phil Hellmuth, JC Tran, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Roland de Wolfe, Luke Schwartz and the newest member of Team Party, Tony G.

After a quiet time of late Benyamine is back and has his eyes firmly fixed on the event. “I'm delighted to be part of this world class field in this year's Premier League. In 2010 I'm looking to play lots of tournaments and to start it off with a victory in one of poker’s most prestigious events is top of my list right now,'' said David.

Eddie Hearn, Managing Director of Matchroom Sport said: “"We are delighted to welcome David into the PartyPoker Premier League for the first time. We now only have one invite left in this year’s event and an announcement will be made within the next few days.''

Benyamine is predominantly known for his high stakes cash game play but has taken down two WPT titles, including the 2003 Grand Prix De Paris, and is the proud owner of a WSOP bracelet. An ex-professional tennis player, the Frenchman once upon a time was also regarded as one of the best billiards players in his country.

With nine players for the $100,000 buy-in Main Event confirmed, there are now only three spaces open. One seat will be a very special invitation announced in the next few days, another will come from a Team Party play-off, while the final seat will go to an online qualifier.

This year PartyPoker ran qualifiers to find a total of 16 players who all fly out to Las Vegas to play in a Premier League Poker play-off to see which one of the 16 will be lucky enough to join 11 professional players in Premier League Poker IV. The lucky online qualifiers will play a short series of play-off sit & go’s in Las Vegas and the eventual winner will win a $100,000 buy-in to take part in the main Premier League event! Both the play-off and the main event will be filmed for TV and shown across the world. One amazing element of this promotion that provides a truly fantastic opportunity is that one of the 16 qualifiers will be chosen by PartyPoker to receive a $100,000 Team Party contract to be a sponsored player....".

Pretty sure it'll be Ivey, think Eddie has wanted to get him on the Premier League for a while and moving it to Vegas was/is probably the only way to get him. Imagine Durrrr and perhaps Cada may get the last seats going.

Not too sure on that Nick, can you seriously see Ivey appearing on a show sponsored by a major competing site? Doubt Tilt will let him, to be fair. I know de Wolfe is playing but he's not exactly known compared to Ivey.

Then again Negreanu is playing and he's Stars' major face these days.

THE MAGIC TEN! DOYLE BRUNSON JOINS PARTYPOKER.COM PREMIER LEAGUE IV LINE-UP

POKERNEWS ON BOARD AS PRESENTING SPONSOR

Gibraltar – 27th January 2010 – partypoker and Matchroom Sport are delighted to announce that the final invitation for PartyPoker Premier League IV has gone to a certain Mr Doyle Brunson. Additionally, pokernews has been added as a presenting sponsor and will be providing their expert live updates from the tournament.

The Main Event runs from the 12th – 18th February 2010. Ten time WSOP bracelet winner Brunson joins the dream ten line-up that also includes David Benyamine, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, Phil Hellmuth, JC Tran, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Roland de Wolfe, Luke Schwartz and the newest member of Team Party, Tony G.

Brunson is very happy to be onboard: “"I'm happy to have the challenge of playing against all these great players. I know a lot about many of them but, of course, all the young players from the internet are very aggressive good players. It is impossible to make a favorite to win this because every player in this field is capable of winning. I feel I have as good a chance as anyone," said Doyle.

Eddie Hearn, Managing Director of Matchroom Sport said: "It's an honour that Doyle has accepted his invitation to the Premier League. He is a true legend of the game and I'm so excited to watch him in action against such an eclectic mix of players. The Premier League has become the world's number one televised poker event and it's by far the strongest line up the event has ever seen.”

Matthew Parvis, Editor in Chief of PokerNews said: “We are extremely excited to be a sponsor for the PartyPoker Premier League IV. Not only is the format one of the most exciting, but the line-up is second to none. There is no other poker tournament where you can see the best of the best battling it out on the felt, and since we consider ourselves among the best in the poker business as well its only natural to be involved with such a fantastic event.”

This leaves just two spots to be filled. One will go to an online qualifier, while the other place will go to the winner of a mini Premier League play-off between members of Team Party. Taking part will be Poker Hall of Fame inductee Mike Sexton, the UK ’s Ian Frazer, France ’s Remy Biechel, Brazil ’s Felipe ‘Mojave’ Ramos and Germany ’s Bodo Sbrzesny . A special invitation into the Team Party shoot-out has been given to Dragan Galic, a German pro with Croatian roots who was recently nominated for European Player of the Year and is commonly regarded as one of the best and in-form players on the European circuit.

Disqualified. You had inside info - PokerNews are the "Presenting Sponsor". (Which is evidently different to a Sponsor Sponsor....)
