Firstly let me just say how touched and humbled I am by the gesture. Thank you Suz for your kindness and thoughtfulness.

Thanks also to everyone who offered to chip in a few quid, again, It is very touching and generous .... However, I would not feel comfortable accepting any money from friends in this situation.

One day I might just do a staking thread (I haven't done one so far), then if people wanted to back me into an event, at least they would have a % of my scoop (obv I will win whatever I enter )

Thanks again for the thoughtfulness and generosity from you guys though, it means a lot.  Of course if you wanted to buy me a Jack & Ginger when our paths cross, I would find it hard to refuse.
