Taylor is one of the most arrogant pieces of work ever seen, but he backs it up. Great peformance yet again. Thought wade played great too and contributed to a great match. (3 mentions of word 'great' there)

Cant wait till the uk open in a cple of weeks-should be great! Smiley

and he still wont get sports personality of the year because "its darts"

1. 15 time world champion
2. Every record you choose to mention
3. Practices all the time with true dedications
4. Delivers repeatedly (unlike most british sports "stars")
5. Doesnt drink
6. Has helped elevate his sport to a new level

He is a s good a sporting role model and icon that you could look to find, yet we prefer to celebrate footballers who openly cheat on thier wives, live redic lavish lifestyles whilst they send their clubs bust with their redic wage demands..

SPOTY is meaningless until he wins it

My first ever live darts event was last Monday - I dont think I should bother going to another because nothing will get near that. The place was pretty empty but absolutely bouncing in the final (and when Merv won the 3rd place and I had taken him on as my favourite because of the stupid amount of stick he was taking from everyone else!). I have the second nine darter on video from the third arrow because you could just tell it was coming! Brilliant.

As much as I think Phil Taylor is a great sportsman, I don't think any recent SPOTY winner has a conviction for indecent assault.
