I had a really good day today, ran decent allday.I managed to play a few more 12's than normal with starting later;they don't run much in the mornings to boost the vpp's.I will definitely make supernova this year;just might have no Christmas  .I need 55k VPPS and I earn about 850 when I put a full day in so should manage it well within the end of the year.

Games today : 150
Profit today : $521.00

Current bankroll : $3021.00

I was talking to James last night and he thinks it maybe possible to reach Supernova Elite from just playing 45mans but I disagreed unless you give up your life for a year and grind 16hrs a day everyday for a year.I've never seen anyone ever sitting in one of these with SNE.... .... until today, how spooky is that.

I ended up reading some guys blog last night that I'd found on sharkscope after James had mentioned him and wow he's a sick impressive grinder. He's called msusyr24 on Stars and managed to play 10k games;a mix of 45/180 mans I believe last month alone I was well impressed with his efforts. However, although you can't help but admire his determination is there a point where you can maybe do to much ? He's 36 tabling I believe and putting in 16 hour days, imo this is pushing it too much.Yeah it's nice to have money etc and I know I should grind more than I do but you've got to get out and have fun and socialise etc.I know you have to put the effort in if you want to get to the top but I believe you should also try and enjoy life and there's no way you can enjoy poker that much that this kind of grinding would be enjoyment, imo.

I always wonder why people like Jay Z,Bill Gates or anybody who's multai beyond the point of it mattering anymore choose to carry on working. If it was me none of my family would ever work and I'd spend all my time going doing things I enjoy with the people I love and enjoy life to the full doing the things money would allow me to do.I'm guessing people will say they enjoy there work but surely being with your family and friends and doing different things all the time would be much more enjoyable ? I know it would be for me anyway.

Surprised you only just found his blog. I don't think he plays 16 hours a day more like 8/9 hours but I do agree even still it;s a sick grind, just like that mi_turtle guy now he seems to play at least 18 19 hours a day I follow his twitter and he put in a 500 game session the other day think he played for like 38 hours or something now thats mental!

Firstly I don't know what the actual proper name for these are ? But anyway there are some very funny "pictures" on 2+2,I especially like this one and it could get frequent use on here, for myself included.

Some people like to push themselves as hard as they can to see what they are capable of. Like if you buy a big fancy sports car would it not be fun to drive on a big long straight stretch of road and see how fast she'll go. Same kind of thing, but with the human body as the car.

Even if the process is sick, looking back on hard work is a good feeling, you get proud of yourself and stuff.

As for Jay Z and Bill Gates et al, they probs really enjoy what they do, and their success is not entirely unrelated to that.

I agree looking back on hard work thats been rewarding is good and also self-motivating just don't understand in the cases of Jay Z or similar people who've achieved everything they could achieve in there field why not stop and enjoy life more by not working anymore, yeah they might enjoy it but surely being with people they know and love and doing different things and going to different places all the time would be more enjoyable, guess they obviously disagree.

If you read Msusyr's blog back over the last couple years, he is one very motivated individual from a non standard background. Poker and what he can achieve from it, is very much his life. It is one of my fave blogs, as his life is very different to my own but we actually play the same game (and form of poker) to support ourselves.
