I 20 tabled today instead of the usual 24 just to get back into the swing of things, I was a bit rusty but played alright. I was considering dropping down to just 20 tables permanently but I didn't really find much difference between 20 and 24 so I'll just stick to 24 for the time being from tmoro onwards.
Games today : 182
Loss today : $107.92
Current bankroll : $4892.08
35's
Games today : 18
Loss today : $341.00
Current balance : $3204.35
Until it gets close I'll just post up vpps at the end of each month until May when hopefully the sweat will be on.
Didn't realise you were a 20-24 tabler, that is mental. I know i can play at least 16 at a time and i think i will need to get the setup sorted to support it, because i can only play 12 at the moment.
What is ure setup? Two 30' monitors?
Stacking FTW.
Should teach myself how to do that, but i do quite like tiling, much better for knowing where you are in terms of table dynamic. Must be pretty manic and confusing stacking? Do you use tableninja or summin to help?

Yeah I use TN. Pretty much all SNG grinders are stacking, it's the best way for SNG's. I don't stack when I'm playing mtt's.

Whilst we are semi on the subject.
Am i right in thinking 1900x1200 is the right res for 9 tabling with no overlap and tables not resized?

Not sure but that is the biggest res monitor u can get at a normal price, so I have two of those. I do have a mate with a 3000+ x 1500+ but it cost him over a grand for a 30 inch monitor. It looks lovely for a grind tho!

Correct, as Ant says it pretty much costs a lot more get a bigger resolution than that.

I've got two house shares to view tmoro in Heaton at 1pm, means it won't interupt with grinding so that's handy. Both the places look pretty nice so see what it's like.
I'm such a noob sometimes, the notes that I mentioned a few pages back; well I've been typing in sn's whilst grinding to search for anyone who I've got a decent amount of hands on, can type pretty quickly so it's been manageable. Then after about the 1000th person that I searched with a good few of those having weird letters in there name or using an I to look like an L or an O to look like 0 etc etc I finally realised tonight that it's a whole lot easier to just copy the name from the notes section and paste it into sharkscope, so much time wasted, such an idiot. It's not like I didn't know you could copy names either just it took my brain like a month to click on that this way is easier, I can be a bit slow sometimes.
One definite positive to grinding SNG'S over playing cash from a social point of view is that with cash Fridays and Saturdays are definitely the best days to grind for value but obv most people with normal jobs go out on these days so if I you want a social life you can't have it both ways. However, with SNG's Fridays are definitely the slowest days for volume, guess a lot of the regs give themselves Fridays off, I'll be doing the same from next week onwards.

I went to the Heaton place, it was done by a landlord so I could've took it today if I wanted. It's in a great location, like literally the nut spot if I lived in Heaton as it was opposite the metro station and also opposite a good pub, happy days. But... you knew that was coming, the room is just too small. I only viewed one place as they agent owned both property's and said they other house was just the same but this one you got a room plus a study, the bedroom was tiny though, you couldn't fit a double bed in and I want a room that fits a king size bed like I have now, that and getting my own internet is pretty much the only two things I care about so have to fade it.
She did however mention that out of the 19 properties in that court they owned 12 of them so maybe somewhere else round there might come up soon. I was thinking to still take the room but I'm being sensible and listening to my Dad's advice as he was saying not to just take the first place that comes up and it would kinda be doing that if I went with this one so I will have to keep looking.
It was pretty com how interested she was in the fact I played poker; saying it was the coolest thing she'd ever heard and couldn't wait to tell all her mates she'd met a poker pro lol. It's always pretty interesting to see people's reactions when I say that's what I do. It's certainly a good conversation starter, mostly leading to the inevitable "do you actually make any money at it ?", obviously a pretty dumb question ofc since I couldn't be doing it as a job if I didn't but anyho. People obviously just instantly think it's gambling and nobody wins at gambling with the whole idea of people only saying when they win I suppose.

Doesn't it just always seem to be the case that when your down on your luck nothing seems to go your way. Just finished watching MOTD and thought Torres looked absolute class, attempted an overhead kick which he executed pretty much perfectly, hits the underside of the bar and Lampard gets a tap in, I kept watching him after Lampard had scored and you could just tell he was thinking ffs when will it end, reluctantly joining in the celebration. He then pulls off a great first touch and some nice skillz and should get a penalty but doesn't. Then to top it off instead of being awarded a stonewall penalty the ref books him for diving, so cold. It's always been something that I've been really interested in with how players deal with form and maintaining confidence when things are going bad, takes a huge amount of self belief to have confidence in yourself when nothing seems to be going your way.
Something that I mentioned in the pub last week with regards to Torres/Carroll; Surely it makes sense as a manager when there is a lot of pressure on a striker to score goals, let them take penalties ? Yet neither of Chelsea's managers with Torres or Dalglish thought to do this. Any goal as a striker gives you the confidence and the belief of starting a run, there both strikers thus are good at scoring goals so are capable of taking a penalty, ofc they could miss but still, seems daft not to for me.

Just finished watching Freddie Flintoff:Hidden Side of Sport about depression in sport on iplayer, thought it was really good. It always frustrates me when people say something along the lines of "they want to get a grip, the money they are on". Just because they are famous and have loads of money people seem to lose any sense of reality about them and forget that they are allowed to have normal human emotions the same as "normal" people do. I guess it's mostly because people are jealous or envious of them but despite most people being happy to acknowledge that money isn't everything they still can't accept that someone who is minted could possible be unhappy. I wonder how many people there are who wish they could be someone else because it seems like they have it all but really your happier then what they are, what irony.

To add to your point there was some terrible tweets about Gary Speed and his probable fight with depression. Must be rife in sport because when dealing with the highs of playing sport anything else could seem a low when off the field making depression for a sportsman easier imo. I think poker players go through similar swings daily though, pretty sure we live lives not too far off that of bipolars!

Great win for us today, we didn't play well at all for a lot of the game but luckily QPR lacked any cutting edge and with our one shot on target Best scores a quality goal. Gives us a 6 point cushion over Stoke in 8th and nobody other than the Pleno's of this world could've hoped we'd be in this spot mid January, <3 Pleno. From his performance today you can see why Pardew doesn't start Ben Arfa, not sure if he's just trying to hard but he loses the ball far too much. Pleno gets some stick for some of his posts in the sports section but his comments the other day about Collocini where spot on, nobody in the League this season has played better than him, he literally just doesn't make a mistake, possible had one iffy game against West Brom but apart from that he's been an absolute boss.
Now just for a winning Sunday to top it off please, glgl to everyone trying to get the lot, especially Brummieboy, definitely one of the gooduns and sounds like he's overdue, gl mate.
