Games today : 146

Profit month : $2663.33

Current balance : $2808.91

Pretty glad to ship any kind of profit today as I didn't play all that well. I overslept today by about an hour and a half, not much I know but I always seem to not be even near my A game when I oversleep. It's like I just spend the whole day half asleep. Next time this happens I think I'll just fade playing as it just tilts me when I make basic mistakes, think I folded a flopped set like three times today, and just made far too many misclicks, not good.

You have to remember with Mantis that he has little/no frame of reference when it comes to playing poker for a living or any of the poker-specific facets of the profession. That isn't to say that I don't think that Mantis has valuable knowledge to impart and isn't a pretty savvy guy in general. There are a lot of subjects where I think that his input would be valuable, but he hasn't managed to focus his energies yet on the subjects that he can actually make a worthwhile contribution to, hence the flaming he regularly gets when posting on the topic of staking and he for sure gets a kick out of that.

Basically he's an antagonistic little fucker - but he's not stupid. So yeah, poker related musings are to be taken with a large pinch of salt Smiley

For the record your post is very inaccurate. I stumbled across Mond's post last night about how he feels following defeat/misfortune and thought I would take the trouble to pass on some genuine advice because he comes across as a good guy. I can't honestly see where I have been antagonistic or condescending but I do forget I'm dealing with some ultra sensitive people when I use this poker forum so who knows. Monda I am sorry I told you not to feel bad. You are free to feel as bad as you like.

When I used to coach golf for a living I studied NLP extensively and have a library at home full of texts about positive mental attitude. It is a subject that interests me greatly and a subject I have a lot of knowledge about. I have also been playing poker for 10 years. The fact is the principles of mental recovery are exactly the same whatever the game, the sport, or the misfortune. However, you are suggesting there is a specific poker related theory about mental recovery that only people who are professionals can possibly know. I would be happy to hear your own poker related musings about that theory and I'm happy to learn from you accordingly.

I would also be happy for you to quote either of my posts and point out where I'm being an antagonistic little fucker. I think that title is much better suited to you in all reality. At your young age you already clearly know everything there is to know.

I mentioned awhile back itt that I found the concept of PMA really interesting, Claypole was meant to recommend some books to me about the subject but guess he forgot, fuck that guy. Which would you advise to read ?

Do you not think it's just the tinniest bit condescending to start a sentence with "Look," or "Listen," when you are going to give your opinion about something ? That was how the tone of your post came across to me anyways and I definitely don't believe I am ultra sensitive.

Read back your response to RED-DOG about using swear words. Especially how it's just your general vocabulary and if people want to judge what sort of person you are because you use a swear word then gl to them. Then you judge I am a condescending person because I use the words look and listen. Maybe it is gl to you. Seems a bit harsh to bold one word from a whole post but as nirvana would say...that is ok.

Internet decides it wants to have a 20 minute break and when I get back I have 1bb in the 3r and get 6th and I'm out of the rest, FMEL.

Obv when I ring BT they say the can't find any problems, not great that there automated service at the start of the call is the nut worst I've ever experienced, bunch of jokers.

I had one with Vodafone but it was terrible so didn't renew it.

I made a thread about it on here the other week, haven't sorted it out yet due to my clownness, wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

Think I'm going to use it as an excuse to get an ipad as I've been told you can use the internet of there on your PC and I was tempted to get one anyways.

I went out and got a dongle sorted so I have that as backup now. Just got a £30 PAYG one with 3. Decided not to make a rash purchase in buying an ipad when funds are low at the minute, will probably buy one this weekend Smiley

If I'm getting an ipad using the excuse of it can act as an, albeit expensive, backup incase both the internet and the dongle don't work would it therefore be pointless for me to have the ipad with 3 which is cheapest as if the dongle didn't work then the ipad most likely wouldn't neither ? Or does it not work like that ?
