I only dip in from time to time here Ray, just interested what your av profit is per month if that is not too personal.

Although I post figures all time itt I don't keep track of figures like how much I've won etc, well I don't keep track of any figures tbh.
I had to check back through the thread for when I started doing this full time but since 1st March 2010 Sharkscope tells me I've made $81,104 (deducted 1/2 the 35s profit off this), that doesn't inc rb though plus I had the Monte bink but just from that it'd equal $2317.26 per month.
Considering the amount of time I've had off since starting this and the fact that's pre rb it's not too bad imo, it's more than I'd have earned if I was still working as an Accountant that's for sure.

Good stuff mate
I could've and maybe should've done a whole lot more, or maybe I've done it the right way, I can't work it out in my mind what I think is best. The last three years of my life have definitely been the best of my 26 years so far and that's down to the freedom I've been able to have through doing this as a job. But maybe one day, especially if I have to go back to doing a real job, I'll regret massively that I was so lazy and didn't make the most of this opportunity, I'm not a one for regrets though so I doubt that'll happen actually.
It takes a hell of a lot of self discipline to do this for a living and I'm probs pretty close to the edge with regards to managing that.
I'm having a lot of mixed thoughts about a few different things to do with playing poker for a living at the minute but I'm not going to ramble on about it in here for now because I can't actually work out what I think about it all, now that I've started questioning myself on certain aspects of this way of life.

I will be performing best man duties in a couple of weeks as my Brother is getting married. I already have a suit but it's pretty meh and he's spent a decent amount for his so I'm going to buy a new one. I've seen a grey suit that I really like but he has a black one, I rang him to see if he was bothered and he said no, I told him to check with his lass who also said it's fine but I'm not sure, thoughts plz ?
This is the suit

Usually the Groom, best man and ushers would all wear the same thing; rented waistcoat/ long tail jacket ensemble.
And their ties/cravats would often match the bridesmaid's dresses.
Would expect the Groom to pay for all this as well.
My best mate ended his speech with a great one liner:
Originally I thought they were going to Spain for their honeymoon, but I now get the impression they are going to North Wales, as James told me he's going to Bangor for a week.

lol.
If bride n groom ain't bothered get a suit that you like and will get some use out of. Otherwise hire a suit to match the groom.

Hey,
how long do you plan to play for a living?
have you achieved SN each year? and what do you estimate your rb earnings to be?

A few months ago I'd have said for as long as I can beat the games but more recently I'm not so sure that's what I want to do, for the next few years though I plan to keep on making a living from the pokers. Even if I wanted to I won't be able to grind 180s for the rest of my life since I won't make enough to retire early and it's extremely unlikely I'll still be able to manage the grind when I'm 50+. Made a post a few pages back about this and thus wanting to move to playing hypers but so far this year that doesn't seem to have motivated me to put any sort of decent effort in, wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
I roughly remember last year I got around the 130k vpps mark, so that would equal 455,000 fpps x 0.016 which is $7280 plus the SN 1/4 freerolls, ran deep in one of them last year and cashed for 2.7k in one, thin I know, then the Stella rewards on top so 11-12kish last year. Made SN every year, 1st year I made it on New Years Eve, fun times. Year 2 made it just before Xmas if I remember right and last year was the 1st time it wasn't a sweat. Despite the increased volume last year it was still a bit of a fail as I was meant to do it by June, failed miserably which resulted in me losing a prop bet and I now have to do a weeks work in McD's, planning to get this done in April.
GLGL with your grind.

I'm going to be trying to raise a little chunk of money for charity next Saturday. I will be going into town with my brother and his lass for an official fundraiser for Marie Curie cancer trust. Getting up ridiculously early for me and standing in the freezing cold for three hours isn't that appealing but I keep telling myself I want to do this sort of thing so a little bit of effort is going to be needed.
I will be flicking some money in myself but if anyone wants to help raise a little bit it would be nice if it was worthwhile, can send to me on Stars, mondonewc, or pm for bank deets. I'll post pictures and will get a letter to say how much I raised.
Cheers.
