Just started watching the vampire diaries. Seems half reasonable but nothing amazing.
Is it worth sticking with?
Vampires? Have you not looked up Banshee yet Matt? Love Banshee. Definitely my favourite current series.

Maybe already discussed ITT but if you have Netflix then 'House of Cards' (original Netflix production based on an old UK tv mini series) is v v good. Watched all 13 episodes of series one in one sitting.
I recommend.

I thought the Following started 'too' quickly, thought it may fizzle out by 6/7 episodes but its keeping it up well, like it
Agreeed, after first ep i thought they had shot their proverbial load.. but still enjoying it. It's one the missus likes as well which is always a result.

Revolution has potential but it was an only ok start for me, most shows of its kind really start off with a bang and it didn't for me.
I enjoyed the second In the Flesh

The old UK "House of Cards" was one of my favourite shows ever but I was a bit meh about this. It is well produced and watchable but I didn't think it was anything special tbh and Ian Richardson>Kevin Sapcey ainec.

I watched the first ep - thought it was ok.... some weird scenes in it though where nothing happens and then it just cuts. Was disappointed the intro wasnt a bit beefier too tbh Modern Family on the other hand <3<3<3

I watched a programme called The Mimic on Channel 4od which was quite a pleasant watch. There wouldn't be anything too original about it if it wasn't for the main character's ability to mimic voices which never gets old.
"A heart-warming comedy series centred on the fortunes of Martin Hurdle, an everyday maintenance man who conceals an uncanny ability to mimic voices."

Great concept, but terrible acting, poor sets and lighting, dire scripts, ridiculous plot holes ruin it for me. Thankfully Game Of Thrones is back tomorrow to redress the balance.

Yeah, having had the weekend to mull it over, it felt a bit like they were just making a Lost/Flash Forward hybrid (I know its the same creators) and on second thoughts the uncle character was a walking reluctant hero cliche. I'll give it a couple of episodes but as you say, much better time spent screaming 'die!' at Joffrey.
