Looks pretty reasonable to me. Got all the latest connectivity; wireless-N, gigabit ethernet, HDMI, bluetooth, etc. Speed & memory look decent. Modem probably a bit redundant these days though!

I need Windows 7 Pro as well, but otherwise the spec's OK.  Would have preferred a faster hard drive and more memory, but beggars can't be choosers...

if you needs 7 pro, then buy a machine with 7 pro. buying 7 pro in addition to the laptop takes the price to over 850 quid...you could buy one that isnt an acer for that.

Got the laptop (with 7 Pro), and it's far better than I expected.  Seems very solidly built (one of my concerns), the screen is excellent and it seems pretty rapid too (I'm sure that'll change as I load more and more applications onto it).

Will report back after I've had it for longer than a week, but very good so far thumbs up
