Dull, but feel like Mr Angry from Purley on behalf of the less well off.

I haven't had to buy a new TV license for donkeys, just gets renewed each year etc.

Had cause to buy a new one, went online and if you choose instalments you have to pay a years fee in 6 months - ie £24 a month or so and then start paying at around £12 month immediately the 6 months end - ie you are paying 6 months in advance for the next licence.

If you pay the lot then you can wait another 12 months and pay the lot again. On principle I wil pay the lot and then do the same again in 12 months cause I can.

Anyway, main point is I thought this was a pretty sick approach, it penalises the very people who would have no option but to pay in instalments. Why do this ?
