Spring Clean my PC

I have a ton of useless crap on my PC and I am going to have a good clean out. I seem to recall there was either a way or a programme that could identify where most of your hard disk space was being used and/or where there is redundant/unused programmes/files.
Can anyone help? Was the best way to give my PC a spring clean?
