lol talk about delusions of grandeur FFS!

Livescore call it English Premier League
Xscores call it English Premier League
Bet365 call it English Premier League
PP call it English Premier League
BBC.co.uk/sport/football even call it English Premier League!

The only people who don't are people that think the English top competition is far superior to the others to be using the familiar term 'League', and wish it to be known as the premier'ship'

Stop listening to the Media, get over yourselves.

Its the EPL, not the P

Lol Dave you are so com, if I listened to the media i.e the 5 places you listed I would be calling it EPL. Whereas I detest the term and refuse to use it. Shall we start calling the Spanish league the SLL or Italian league ISA.

The term is an americanism of our sport as all their top sports have "catchy" 3 letter acronyms.

But I dont say Premiera Liga or Serie A when talking football amongst friends - I say the Spanish Premier League or Italian Premier League. What's the difference?

I really cant be arsed typing out 'English Premier League' in every sentence when we have the common place "which is the best league?" discussions.

I have seen you use the term grand slam games to describe games between Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea though, so your stance doesn't really surprise me.
