For some reason Betfair poker software seems to cause my laptop's right speaker to go on the blink.  Happened on three occasions now, with the action on right hand side of table sounding muffled.  The 500 Hz Right Sine wave test tone as the following site produces no audible sound.

My lappy is under warranty so I can get Dell in to repair it , but I just wanted to run it past you guys to see if anyone has had similar experience or can suggest what might be causing it?

If it's only betfair software thats affected, it's definetly not any hardware fault.

Try getting the latest drivers for your sound card/chip or get on to betfair support.

edit : i get that sound ok, but i would also suggest running dxdiag, click your start menu, select run and type dxdiag.

That will check out all the windows DirectX hardware/drivers etc.
