Alea tonight has a £15 freezeout which gets 40-50 runners. Good structure and nice atmosphere. Tues/wed/fri are £20. Sat is £15.

Gala is great if you want an wsop environment at a £20 fo, i mean where people take ages to make simple decisions, get rubbed down by the locals who get away with whatever they want to do or say, comps that never start on time, dealers that dont want to be there and are open about it.
Ofcourse this are my thoughts only, some gala's regs on here say that this is part of the game.

We travel from Barnsley to Gala maybe twice a month. Tuesday £10 triple chance, generally 60-70 runners and last saturday of the month a £20 one rebuy. Never had a problem with folk or dealers.

AK is the nuts, if you havn't played live in a while, remember you have to ask the cardroom manager permission to do cartwheels before fistpump shoving.

to ask the cardroom manager permission to do cartwheels before fistpump shoving.
this is not strictly true at gala
if you are in with the clique, you can do it freely, however if you arent, or even worse if you have a vague understanding of how to play poker, then you must ask permission, and even then you might get barred if Rose takes exception to it.
Not that Bob is guided by other memebers, absolutely not, he is definately his own man and makes his own decissions
