On a flop of 9♠7♣3♥ James Dempsey and Jens Thorson enjoyed
a little dust up.

Thorson checked from the small blind and Dempsey bet a little
more than 20,000, which Thorson called. The turn came K♣. Now Thorson bet
32,500. Dempsey was specific in looking over at Thorson, whose face was hidden
by giant yellow rimmed sunglasses, the rest of him hunched in the classic
Thorson position his older brother William usually adopts - arms around his
stack, guarding it from all sides. Call.

The river came a 5♠. Thorson checked and Dempsey again wanted
to look directly into the soul of Thorson, asking the dealer to lean back.
Satisfied, Dempsey checked. Thorson showed 9♣T♠. Dempsey winced. Was he
beaten? No, he turned over T♦T♥ but rued the check on the end. He's up
to 400,000 though while Thorson hovers around the 700,000 mark

Flushed With Success

James "Flushy" Dempsey is up to about 950,000 after taking a large pot from Jens Thorson.

Dempsey opened for 18,000 preflop, getting two callers including Thorson. The flop was a rainbow {9-?} {8-?} {5-?} and Dempsey continued his aggression, betting 34,500.

Thorson was the only caller and fired out 53,000 on {6-?} turn after Dempsey checked. The river was the {9-?} and Dempsey checked once more but called Thorson's 112,500 bet.

The Swede was forced to show {2-?} {2-?} but lost out to Dempsey's {5-?} {5-?}.

Dempsey took another little pot from Thorson after the Swede limped preflop on Dempsey's big blind before calling a 12,000 bet on a {10-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} board. The river {Q-Clubs} went check-check, Dempsey showed the hammer {7-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and again that was enough.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

6.32pm: Dempsey out
James Dempsey is out. We did not see the action but he had pocket queens against Dmitry Stelmak's T♦J♦ - and Stelmak hit two pair on the flop. The turn was a king, adding an open-ended straight draw as outs for Dempsey, but he bricked the river. -- SY
