Poker Players United for Leg 4 of GUKPT in Manchester City


It's that time of the month once again, the time when poker player of the UK will gather with one shared purpose: to become the next GUKPT main event champion. This time the action moves north to the G Casino Bury New Rd in Manchester for the 4th leg of the 2010 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour. Last year novice player Simon Moorman took down this main event in only his second live tournament ever. He was bought into the 298 runner £1,000 NL Hold'em event by his son Chris and walked away with the first prize of £88,630. Will he return this year to defend his title? Other previous winners of the Manchester leg were David Colclough, who defeated Barry Neville heads up to win in 2007 and Marc Goodwin in 2008, who dominated from start to finish.

The www.gcasino.com festival has been under way since Saturday 17th April and the main event starts on Thursday 22nd, with two starting days. Several side events are also running throughout the remainder of the festival with buy-ins as low as £100. The winners of all events will not only take away trophies, but will also claim seats into the £150,000 GUKPT Champion of Champions tournament in December.
