People need to be taught to drive better in general. So many morons on the road, some people are so clueless on the motorway it's so scary.

they mainly include knobs with expensive cars that think they own the roads!!
No, I would say they mainly include twats who sit in the middle lane with nothing in the inside lane, or who decide to pull out without indicating, or once overtaken someone else, need to leave about 400 yards of room before they pull back in again, or who never ever see blue lights behind them and still sit there oblivious (not restricted to motorways ldo, but just unbeleivable that some drivers are that unaware) or lorry drivers who decide they will overtake just at the start of a long uphill section, and proceed to 'overtake' at approx 1 mpn faster than the lorry oin their inside.

totally agree mate! I come accross these twats on a daily basis!!

People that do 30mph in a 40 zone with a clear road ahead do my nuts in too!!

All the things you mentioned do my head in, but the one that drives me up the wall is the middle lane idiots. The most mind numbing ones are where you follow someone onto an empty stretch of motorway and they IMMEDIATELY go straight out to the middle lane despite the fact there isn't another car in sight ahead of them.

This isn't the police but if people just said fking thank you after you let them go or through or whatever.

So many people are terrible drivers in general grrrr

Agreed - if they don't say thank you I wind the window down and shout it to them as they go past.

Also, if they pull over without indicating so I nearly rear end them (obv driving too close but ignore that fact) I'll pull alongside them, wind down the window and innocently, sweetly and helpfully say "Just to let you know I think there is something wrong with your indicators, they didn't come on when you pulled in".  Said in such a nice voice floors them and then I drive off before they can get out and hit me.

As for the police attending an rta quickly to gather evidence to prosecute - eeerm no. Their first action is to protect so they will help people out of vehicles and protect them and the scene, call the appropriate agencies such as ambulance and fire service if they haven't been called already, and generally look after the people involved.

Once the living have been dealt with they will deal with the scene and gather evidence which will help prosecute any potential guilty party that may have caused the accident to occur, this could by a driver or, for example, a vehicle manufacturer. That is essential to the safety of society as a whole imo. At some point the dead will be removed. If there is doubt at the scene they will have been removed to help resusitation, but in the case of obvious death such as decapitation they are more often left to help piece together the reasons for the accident.

Thank goodness for our police force imo.

and wouldnt it be nice if they stuck to doing this, then people might actually respect them for what they do

rather than entrapping drivers on monday morning rush hour who have been up since 5 trying to earn a living to pay redic tax rates and pay their salaries!

having driven all over the UK, this is definitely more of a Scottish problem than elsewhere. Especially the M74, where it seems that despite the road being empty, the clowns want to sit in the middle lane, oblivious to that hassle they are causing me. I can move from the inside lane, to the middle, then the outside lane to over take, move back to the middle, then almost immediately back tot he inside lane and it still doesnt click that they are just rubbish at driving.

Girgy, are you sure you are old enough to hold a driving license?

Anyway, ROUNDABOUTS,particularily the mini variety.
Why are so many people, who have apparently passed their tests, incapable of following the basic rules for using roundabouts?
They either sit and stare at you wondering what to do next or come careering across, correcting their wrong-lane-edness as they go.
This is my pet driving hate and tilts me up no end.

I feel better now.

I do! From an accident that wasnt my fault!
Not undertaking then.

Certainly not!

All the things you mentioned do my head in, but the one that drives me up the wall is the middle lane idiots. The most mind numbing ones are where you follow someone onto an empty stretch of motorway and they IMMEDIATELY go straight out to the middle lane despite the fact there isn't another car in sight ahead of them.

having driven all over the UK, this is definitely more of a Scottish problem than elsewhere.

Why waste time and effort moving over to the outside lane? Undertake FTW then fork the wanker as he looks at you in disgust!

Yea and ive probably done more miles in reverse than you have going forward!
Driving safely I  hope, with no accidents.

Driving safely YES Accidents NO! Cant help the idiots that decide to leave their common sense at home can you!

i thought you had whiplash

I do! From an accident that wasnt my fault!
Not undertaking then.

Certainly not!
Then you would agree that its a stupid and dangerous thing to do,probably performed by someone who had left their common sense at home.
