roy keane: posts small blind 150

getting nearly 3-1 against a shorty I'm calling

I expect to be in a race with a medium pair or live cards against his range of hands there

Let me guess, you wanted to call and Mrs Splash folded??!!!

instant fold  mandy lou is a very strong and tight player who very rarely re raises , have to suspect AA AK AQ KK QQ , even behind to a  lower pocket pair - tourney still early and better oportunitys when best you are is a slight dog to underpair

well, we weren't told anything about the player!  Cheesy, even if one was to agree with that assessment of the player's capabilities  stirthepot

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Fold...

At best you are in a race, lets say she don't have AA KK..  well theres still AK AQ suited to worry about.. I know the odds look good to call. but I think you are behind and it's going to cost you half your stack to find out..

There will be better spots to double up, I dont think this is a good spot...JMHO

give me a break any player could have any hand here

mandylou is a good player but he aint a rock

he knows that he doesnt have enough chips and is liable to push here with any pair any ace and maybe even any 2 face cards

he is also hoping that he comes accross a tight week player that might even fold because of his reputation

folding here would be wrong even if you knew mandylou had QQ infact only if he was to turn his cards over and show KK or AA would it be the right play to fold

you dont win comps by sneaking into the money and mandylou knows that and knows this is a time for gathering chips while others will fold thinking of playing for 3 hours to get there money back

I disagree Ironside, I play against Mandylou a lot, and in my notes I have ' Tight aggressive player, do not re raise against him when he has limped in middle position'

I believe he must have had QQ or better you never know as he is a blonde he might tell us
