Whats the general rules in regards to asking to see an opponents losing cash game hand?

I'm under the impression that if anyone has made a contribution towards a pot then they can request to see a losing hand at showdown.

Its not something i do but was playing a cash game recently when each time i raised three guys who were obviously good mates would all call my raise and try to smash my hand.I wanted to know what they were all holding when my hand held up and try to establish whether they were colluding against me.

Am i right to believe i can ask to see their cards or am i confusing it with tournament rules

Think it depends on the venue, doesn't it?

Generally though, if you were the raiser and they called, you'd be the one showing first and they can rightly muck their hand after you've shown.  If you think they're colluding then you might just have to get up and play another game.  Not sure what you can ask the card room to do.  Where were you playing?

Get up and tell the card room manager to watch over the game for 5 or 10 minutes as you think something dodgy might be going on.

Or just outright make a comment...'You three play in a poker team somewhere?' etc.

Asking to see a loser's hand "just because you can online" tilts me up soooooo hard.  Even more than being slow rolled.
