Very very impressed with Colchester tonight.
Perkins in particular.
Much like yourself im at home watching on the tv and impressed, nice goal too. They're not going to set the division alight, but hard work and attitude seems spot on. Not leaving much out there ehich is refreshing to see.

John rates Gillespie highly, 400k they paid for him. Lots and lots of injuries though which is always a shame

To add, I was sent to watch Perkins playing for Stockport twice near the end of last season to see if he was taking his loan spell well. Adie Boothroyd never really fancied him. I was impressed with what I saw to be fair, 100% effort.

He was easily Stockports best player when they played at Norwich last year.
Not a fan of Boothroyd as a manager personally, very ugly football and pretty much living off what he achieved in 1 season at Watford.

Do you ever get any feedback on your reports? Pat on the back like "well done for pointing X out, they tried to do that all day."?
yes every now and then, and also say they concede a goal from something that was mentioned in dossier the players are given before games then watch out, training on Sundays!!

He was good with me so that's all I can say, sent all the staff wine/choccies and best wishes when he left which he didn't have to, especially me as I'd only met him once.

Yeah wasn't saying he was a bad person, just not a fan of him as a manager.
In fact I reckon he is probably a much nicer bloke than Paul Lambert, I know who I would rather have in charge of my club.

Good game on sat, real good battle. Can't deny Weds deserved a point after being 0-2 down after 6 minutes, albeit they defended shockingly for both goals. Morrison played right back before Tighty?
Definately two of the better sides in the divison to be fair, be surprised if both don't finish in the top 6.
Didn't realise it was £26 to pay on the gate on sat, that surely the most in League 1? Maybe not actually with so many southern teams. Not sure I'd ever pay that to watch League 1 footy.

Bargain.
Reda Johnson look good? Commentary seems to highlight him a lot.
We've signed 4 players in January but I still think it's come too late as we've lost too many. We won the League One play-offs in 05 so fingers crossed we can get in them and do it again.
