Raoul Moat asked for psychiatric help but it was decided he didn't need any. If someone asks for such help it's hard to find a case for not giving it to them, unless they're hypochondriac imo. Health professionals deal mostly with objective evidence, subjective evidence has to be respected.

Just heard the interview from talk sport with the woman who set up the Facebook page paying tribute to Moat. Tragic enough that there's people like her out there, even worse that she can be allowed to bring up children when instilling these sort of view in them, what chance in life do they have?

Has anyone checked to make sure it's not actually Moat with a wig on? after all "Moaty", as Gazza likes to call him, "blew his face off"..so noone can know whether that really was Moat....and this "woman" looks an awful lot like a bloke in a wig.
Just saying.

So much easier to swallow this kind of story when hes just an "evil nutjob on the loose". Sounds articulate and insightful from the tapes
Saw an interview with a clinical psychologist today who said that the council are probably in the clear, having a messed up head is one thing but they dont really act until he presents a risk. Maybe some "scum" are just not worth the taxpayer"s £££ in their eyes.
Interestingly, he failed to turn up for a scheduled psych appointment. The psychologist said this is common and in fact people who fail to turn up are the ones you should be trying hard to contact and deal with.
