Never been to Hallcroft mate, don't travel far for my fishing...last week we had a club match at Lakeview and it fished rock hard.....29lb won and I was 4th with a crappy 16lb. To say it was a carp pool, I could only get a bite right over on single red maggot.
Had a bike down to the start of the dyke the other day (took all of 2 mins to get there!!) and a bloke was swinging in a 3oz roach on the pole. Nearly turned round to fetch me gear!
BTW, if you got yer gear, get yourself down here when it cools and we get a bit more water/colour in the Trent, and you can show me how it's done
