When Dickie Bird umpired cricket he had 6 pebbles in his coat. Every time a ball was bowled he transferred a pebble from one pocket to another and hence never forgot when to call the over. Obviously you could employ this method by utilsing two shruggle pebbles everytime you micro a curry.
Make like a cue card. Write shruggle one side and Eat me on the other side and laminate it! Then once you have placed your meal in the micro and set it going place the cue card infront of the door so when it dings you know you have to shruggle. Then when you put you meal back in turn it over to the eat me side and await the final ding!

Good point, microwaves should have intermission settings, loads of meals have that instruction. I just shoogle like hell at full time and skip the gap.
But yer, microwaves should not be used for proper food. Mainly for the following:
Eggs. Going to visit your mate? Tape an egg in its shell to the top of his microwave to add some extra "colour" to his next meal.
Jam donuts. I lost my parents once due to this, room filled with dense smoke in under 5 mins.
Returned from the pub, nothing on tv? Coat the base of the microwave with oil, use tipex to mark some grapes for you and your mates, bet some ££ on which grape-rocket will reach the other side first.

zomg why can't I spell
Wasn't pissed mond. If I am then my speciality is putting something in the microwave and forgetting about it. Open door a few days later, oh yeah, the macaroni.
Usually the missus makes me some proper food, but I'm in Aberdeen every weekend sorting a house that I'm trying to get sold. Super skint just now till I get it flogged. Getting there, should be on the market next month.

Obv ignore the break if you don't ignore the break and open the door to mix it up a bit you might as well be cooking so don't make out strirring would be effort you're already wasting energy.

I do the opposite. I get all the food ready on the tray. Turn the oven on. Go away. Come back an hour later and realise I didn't actually put the food in.
