Cos and his merrymen are running a fantasy football comp on some joke of a site so I suggest you all follow me and we start a break away league with the daily telegraph, yes you have to pay for a team but you get what you pay for and this is by far the best fantasy football game available. To long have we had to accept mediocrity and being told what to do by some foreigner who is clueless about the game and wants to keep the English down.We will do a comp for £50 a team and hopefully get a decent kitty going,if Cos can see the error in his ways we could vote on whether he should be allowed in but his attitude must change.REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS here's a link to what the telegraph one is like http://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk/select-team

Looks good. Would be willing to play this. Can you just confirm that there is no need to pick a team each week and no chance to make any transfers throughout the season?
I want to be able to pick a team at the start of the season and see if my pick was the best. I'm not looking to manage a team.

Sigh, you get 30 transfers. It does show a seperate league to show who picked the best starting team so if there's a few get involved you could maybe just enter a team for that and not get involved in the money.

The FA game is infinitely better than the Telegraph game!

Personaly prefer the yahoo one which i have played for donks years.

Change yr team every week and i like the scoring system and the balancing of the team due to the 100m u can spend/redistribute each week on yr team.

Sorry, should have been clearer.  The Premier League one is the game on Cos's thread - the one we've been playing for years.  Much better than the Telegraph game and free to enter.

It's not a fear of change.  The Telegraph was my first experience of Fantasy Football back in 1994 and it was based on the original 'official' Fantasy Football game.  I stayed loyal to it for years but nowadays I much prefer the Prem League version.  It's easy to manage and you have genuine decisions to make each week.

C'mon Mond, forget the talk of revolution, unite behind the Greek one's league!!  Wink

You should try the Times version.

It takes about 3 seasons to understand the rules!

What that man said.

I dont understand why people hate the idea of having to 'manage' a team, thats the whole point of playing Fantasy football is it not? In fairness Mond i have took advantage of the 4 teams for £10 early deal (my bro will take 2 teams) in the telegraph that you suggested but i will have to play it first before i can judge if its any good. But at the moment the official Premier League one is the nuts, I played it last year for the first time and now I'm champing at the bit for the season to start again.

In summation get in the other one and stop all this heresay Smiley

It's a shame there isn't one that's a nice balance between the two.  Pick a team at the start, and then maybe every month you get to make a couple of transfers.

Last season I couldn't change my team that much during the first month - in fact I planned to change my squad before the start but didn't get round to it.  Once I was already so far behind, there was no point playing for the rest of the season.
