I'm not blaming blonde for dropping Kev as a Mod, had to be done, removing him from the forum is arguable for and against, but the terrible way he was set up for everyone to speculate on & certain people with axes to grind to get their digs in was disgusting.

I think the thing you need to realise, as came out of yesterdays thread, is that Tikays words were considered very carefully before he went to press.

He set out to, and susubsequently delieverd what he went to achieve - so why would he apologise. Any apology would be hollow, his actions in the last week have spoken louder than any retrospective flowery wrtiting could cover!

If that is the case then he's not the man I thought he was. I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt, but his tactics since are disappointing to say the least.

I did explain - time & time again - my thoughts as to the rights & wrongs, why's & wherefores, of what I Posted, & why. I explained my self-doubt, too. An insincere or forced apology would be meanngless, & I'm still grappling with last week's complexities - of which you only know a fraction. And no, that's not a hidden "ooh there's more", but the whole context is considerably wider than most have worked out. MUCH wider, & MUCH more complex. Current mood aside, do you really think it's in my usual nature to be vindictive?

Anyway, I have a day-job (at the moment, anyway), & I've neglected it a bit, so I need to press on with that this afternoon.

I'm dwelling & reflecting on everything, & I'll Post as soon as I can, but I'm not sure yet what my answer is, or should be. I know what you want it to be, but that's a different thing entirely.

Yes, I told him more than I wrote, as to what was done, & why. His Post gives all the clues.

If you recall (though selective memories are the order of the day) I said in my Post on Sunday that ANYONE could ring me if they wished, & I'd try & steer them, assuming it were to be constructive rather than just emotive vitriol. Matt & I spoke, there were no other calls. Numerous individuals closer to the various & intertangled story lines were in touch before & after that, of course. And almost everyone has an angle - this person or that is a friend, someone or the other will be miffed because.......

I found your (& others) comment to me offensive, just as you & they found my Post offensive. It kind of depends where you stand, what way you face, what you know, & where the vested interest sits.

Nothing will ever be quite the same again, thats for sure. But if I were in your spot, I'd watch this space, & eventually the penny will drop.

no probs at all mate. my post on that thread were similar to yours, ive learnt a slightly diff fact today so would not have made some of the points i did at the time had i known now what i knew then. the prob is the opening post was/still is a very disappointing one and was the cause of what then materialised.

If there were more facts to this than were posted then either nothing should have been posted at all or everything should have. (My opinion is that it should have been dealt with behind closed doors).

The way this has been handled is a complete and utter mess and a disgrace to those who chose to handle it that way. Kev made a mistake, I do not condone his actions. But that doesn't make him a bad man. He's not the first guy on here to make a mistake and won't be the last.

Tikay - you've said you've lost a number of friends over blonde related matters - is that a surprise when you deal with things like this?

Maybe, but I've not lost any that really matter to me. I don't much like aggro, or falling out with anyone, everyone knows that. Forum "friends" are not in the same league as real friends, but it still irks to upset folks.

An old friend of mine, Craig from Naps in Sheffield, (he used to be the Cardroom Manager there), sent me a message of support overnight via FB. In which he claimed credit for being the first person in poker to call me a fuckwit. That would be about 11 years back. Bright boy, him.

I don't think there would ever have been a correct way to handle this. If it wasn't for a couple of people who clearly have it in for Kev and wanted him publicly destroyed none of us would have been any the wiser about this situation as it would have been dealt with privately and off forum.

Unfortunately there were other parties who had knowledge of the events and it is their involvement which has forced this whole issue to go public and cause so many problems and ill feelings for so many people.

It seems as though Tikay is being made out to be the bad guy in all of this but that really isn't the case. Given the option he would have dealt with this privately.

There are 2 parties who have caused all the unrest here and forced Kev's removal from Blonde. It is those two who are kicking Kev while he is down, not Tikay and I sincerely hope that I never come across either of these 2 spiteful and vindictive swines ever again.

If someone was aware of this situation with Kev and was prepared to publicise it rather than let it be dealt with behind closed doors first then Tikay had no option but to put the original post on the Forum.  Anything else would have left him open to accusations of a cover up.

I also thought the original post was a huge mistake but if the gist of EvilPie’s post is correct than there was no other option.

I don't see the surprise in him doing it this time and just because one or two people know behind the scenes doesn't stop the Where's wally threads. Never has and never will. Somebody at some time would have asked where's Kev and this would've happened then. Would Tikay be getting a kicking for not saying anything ?

The person threatening to go public instead got a clean run at PMing his view on the sorry affair all around and getting his digs in that way.

Tikay's first post could have been far more charitable & not left his friend hung out to dry, instead the most cynical negative twist possible was allowed to get a head start.

I've repeatedly said I don't see what choice blonde had re Kev's mod status, the banning was arguable but I can see reasoning behind it. The original post was extremely shabbilly done to say the least.
