^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ +1

Team for next test if all fit ?

Strauss
Cook
Trott
Pietersen
Bell
Prior
Bresnan
Broad
Swann
Tremlett
Anderson

Pretty ul for Finn as he hasn't really done much wrong but can't see how we don't play any of them.Do people think this team could've give the great Aussie team of 10 years ago a good game ? Maybe I'm getting carried away but I really think we would've.

This was the balance i wanted us to play in this series, but having won convincingly with four front line bowlers i can't see it changing. Definitely not in England in May against Sri Lanka. Morgan seems to be next in line and will probably get the nod. Bopara would be the ideal replacement if he can get his head together. Hopefully Gooch can get hold of him and sort his defense out, i think he is very talented. Needs to prove he really wants it.

As for beating the Australian side of 10 years ago, no chance.

This was the team that England played against in the 3rd test in 2002

Langer
Hayden
Ponting
Martyn
Lehman
S Waugh
Gilchrist
Warne
Lee
Gillespie
McGrath

I would say Pieterson for Lehman and Anderson for Lee would be the only 2 that would get into that side.

Nah

Broad might not even get back in this England team

Trott or Bell for Martyn Maybe. Or Cook for Martyn and bat Langer at 3

Pre 2005 Gillespie was a great bowler. If it wasn't for injuries could have been very special.

Collingwood doesn't want to bowl again. Happy to take his last ball as Hussey. I'd be tempted when they are 9 down if Straus looked at me.

Absolutely! Let's hope we can carry on improving and here's to a series win against the Indians in the summer.

I've umpired when Steven Finn was a 15 year old playing for Langleybury, bowled our boys out for not very much. Just thought I'd mention my close links to the squad

meh

I've faced Graeme Swann at winter nets. I smashed him everywhere.

He was 11.
